WAYZGOOSE 2023
Wayzgoose is an annual typography conference held at the Hamilton Wood Type Museum. This projects develops a visual identity for the the 2023 conference.
VISUAL IDENTITY
The visual identity evokes the playfullness of the conference's name through it's use of bright colors, loud patterns, and overlapping transparencies. All visual elements are derived from the intermingling of Hamilton Wood Type Foundry's digital fonts and geometric shapes.
PHYSICAL MATERIALS
Physical materials, like name tags and a printed conference schedule, were designed for use at the event. The name-tag was designed using keeping readability in mind, balancing pattern, color, and textual hierarchy. The printed schedule also balances the loud and bright branding of the event with legibility.
DIGITAL ANIMATION
A digital animation for display at the conference was developed. This animation would serve as a decorational element, playing before speeches and discussions and during the down time between events.
WEBSITE
The website takes the brand identity of the event and utilizes it in a form appropriate for screens. Style elements, such as the patterns and colors, unify it to the rest of the brand.
